can it work without reverse engineering ?
select *hbm.xml and make POJO ?

eh yes - that is the whole point. why do you think you have to *enable* reverse engineering....could it be that it is not on by default ;)

i recommend to read the new docs, it explains how the tools core works (or at least tries to)

let me know how it can be done more intuitively.

you select a cfg.xml and/or mappings files and can use it to generate certain stuff - an added feature is that we can also choose to perform a reveng directly from the db connection info.
