I have the same problem. It is the XML editor, not the hibernate mapping editor. How to invoke the mapping editor to enable the auto-completion.

thanks.

Now, by configuring the hibernate.cfg.xml, I am able to look at the database tables directly and also there is a property window, which could display what properties are avaialble. But, there is no detection of my java object and there is no completion of column name. Any other configuration I have to do to enable the Mapping editor? Thanks.

the auto-completion work with eclipse 3.1.1 more jboss IDE 1.5 using standard xml editor, but with eclipse 3.2 M4 more jboss IDE 1.5 don't work :( I think they need to do new released correcting this bug.

The default WTP XML Editor *IS* the Hibernate Mapping Editor. It's been 3 or 4 releases since we had a dedicated xml editor.

And we only support 3.1.x and have not received *any* jira reports about issues on 3.2.x so I can't see how we should know about it (even more do a release ;)

p.s. This might just as well be an WTP issue, but to find out I will need to get bug reports in jira showing what error that occurs.
