I saw this problem when doing a reverse engineer with the latest code from the nightly build:

org.hibernate.tool.hbm2x.ExporterException: Error while processing template hbm/timestamp.hbm.vm

That timestamp file is not wrapped up in the hibernate-tools.jar (from the latest nightly builds)

I haven't checked in your cvs branch yet but will do that today.
