Need help with Hibernate? Read this first:

My problem is also logged as a bug in the hibernate jira [HBX-396].

I am using the hibernate tools version to get reverse engineer the oracle database but I get this error.

What is the solution? Does this bug happen even for older versions of the tools?

its because you are using a columntype that is not mapped by the tools.

...and you solve it by configuring the type mappings in a reveng.xml
