Hi all,
I've downloaded and moved in the Eclipse's plugin directory the .jar of the Hibernate's tools.
How I can to use the "Dynamic Query Translator? At this moment i click on Window, show view, Other, and next onb Hibernate Dynamic
Query Translator. I see the window of the tool but I cannot to write in.

Anyone can help me?
Alternatively, how I can use the Hibern8IDE in the Eclipse's project?

Thank you,

Luca.

dont use Hibern8IDE...

open a HQL query editor by clicking on the hql icon in the Configurations view (if its grey, then click on a open configuration)

Then when you type the SQL for the HQL will be shown

Hi Max,
thank you for the reply. I have problem using the HQL tool for Eclipse: I have moved the .jar downloaded by the official site in the Eclipse's plugin directory. Now, how I can utilize the tool? In Eclipse I have a "Hibernate" console that show me the Hibernate Dynamic Query HQL but I cannot write in :( How I do use it?

Thank you,

Luca.

Max, thank you for the help: unfortunately I cannot use the HQL query editor 'cause I cannot write in the window of the HQL query: it's blank and it appears read only, I cannot write by the keyboard or paste in the text of the query.

:(

That is the Dynamic Query Translator ...what you need is the HQL Editor which are obtained the way i have described previously.
