Hello I' m in trouble with Hibernate Tools 3.1 alpha 5 and Hibernate 3.0.5. How do I create my DDL files from my existing Metadata Files without the use of Hibernate-Annotations?

After swiching to Hibernate 3.1 alpha 1 and Hibernate-Annotations 3.1 alpha 4 it worked well with my annotated classes. After a while I had to be aware of the fact that typesave enums aren't supported by Hibernate-Annotations, so I switch to H 3.0.5 back again.

I' am a bit curious which version of the Hibernate-Tools (Ant) works very well with my various *.hbm.xml Metadata files and is capable of creating my DDL-Scripts.

Can anyone provide me an exact Set of Version-Numbers (Tools, H 3.0.5) and an ant build.xml to achieve my goal?

Thanks

Hibernate version:
3.0.5

with h3 tools just use the hibernate core that is included with the downlaods - it does not need to be the same as the htools you are running with.

and look in tools.hibernate.org for docs/examples about the build files.

Thanks for your reply.

What I' am doing actually is Using H 3.0.5 Core and H-Tools 3.1 alpha 5. Regarding to your reply this should work well. But it does not. Where can I find these example build files mentioned by you? I walked through the H 3.0.5 directories and HT directories and didn't find any of it. I' am almost sure there is a mismatch between by build.xml and my project layout.

and use the bundled hibernate - not the hibernate 3.0.5 when you run the tools.

It works, thanks to your help. But I' m a bit curious why your suggested solution isn't mentioned so much in the communitiy. In a first approach it seems a sound combination of H 3.0.5 and HT 3.1 alpha 4

Best regards
