I've just completed the installation instructions at http://www.hibernate.org/hib_docs/tools ... index.html for the second time today, but I can't get any of the hibernate tools features to actually appear in Eclipse. I'm using Eclipse Version: 3.1.0 Build id: I20050617-1618 without success. I couldn't find Eclipse 3.1 M5, so I tried M5a, but without success. The Jboss portion of the installation appears to be working, but not the hibernate tools. I've been attempting to install 3.0.0 alpha 4a. Any ideas appreciated.

Thanks,
Ken

You don't actually need JBOSS anymore. It worked very smoothly for me when I followed the instructions, but skipped the JBOSS stuff. Reading this post thread helped me, too:

Thanks Nathan, that helped. Here's what I did:

I deleted my eclipse installation (again) and re-installed the eclipse WTP, stable build 1.0M4, according to the instructions at http://download.eclipse.org/webtools/do ... 504292037/. Then I re-installed hibernate tools 3.0.0 alpha4a. Now I can see the hibernate options when I try to create a "new" file. The Jboss stuff is nowhere in the picture; the published instructions are incorrect (i guess i should submit a bug)

Anyhow, thanks for your help. Now we'll see how far I get with the reverse engineering!

Ken
