what's the relation between xdoclet-1.2.2 and xdoclet-2.0 ?

I used to xdoclet-1.2.2 from http://xdoclet.sourceforge.net before.
when i heard of xdoclet-2.0 from http://xdoclet.codehaus.org, i donot understand its relation ?!

maybe a simple question ?

XDoclet 2 is a new version. technically not related to 1.2
It got new features, like tag validation, and is generally faster.

And it has good hibernate support - usable in production.
