 Post subject: Why schemaexport requires .class files

Hibernate version: 2.1.6

Code between sessionFactory.openSession() and session.close():

Full stack trace of any exception that occurs:

Name and version of the database you are using:

The generated SQL (show_sql=true):

Debug level Hibernate log excerpt:

I'm new to Hibernate. I used middlegen to generate the *.hbm.xml" files and hbm2java to get the java files.

When running schemaexport it complains about missing persistent classes. In order to get the ddl why does it requires .class files?

because hibernate (on which schemaexport runs) requires them...in H3 this is probably not needed...
