In all the docs I read on hibern8IDE, it is about reading in configuration files, etc. Is there a way to start with hibern8IDE and create them first??? or do I have to type the xml first???
thanks,
dean

My understanding was that it's a query testing tool. not a configuration tool, so I don't think that there is.

No, sorry! Hibernate Console (the tool previously named Hibern8IDE) don't have this ability.

Another tool is starting to being formed that might suit your need - but more about that later....until then (and probably also after) you will somehow need to write .hbm.xml's or annotate via xdoclet or annotations ;)
