hbm2java problem for not-null="false" properties

Hi!

I have the following question - why hbm2java is generating a property as char, when it has not-null="false"? I prefer to use hibernate types only, but now I have no choice, but to use java.lang.Character. It is a generic problem, not only for character datatype.

Or probably I'm missing something?

Eh ? What is the problem of using java.lang.Character when you really mean java.lang.Character ?

There's no big problem, but I would prefer the unboxed "char", instead of "java.lang.Character". I think the most intuitive behavior would be similar to how IDs work - if you set unsaved-value="0" and the type is "long", for example, the result type would be "long", not "java.lang.Long".
