@Type in Pojos reverse engineered

Hi,

I tried reverse engineering a database with a custom user type, everything works great except the @Type annotation isn't added to the EJB3 pojo (but the return type is correct).

I see this bug with a solution here

but looking at SVN I don't see it updated, so my question is;

Is there another solution, or do I need to patch the source with these files every time?

reverse engineering a db is cool though, thanks for the work.

just not got around verifying/applying it yet.

Patches without unittests takes longer to go through...submit a testcase and it will go faster ,)

ok, I took the files from the bug report - had to make a few minor changes since some methods were missing and now it works nicely with my custom geometry user type.

Having not done this before, how do I create a suitable test case and submit the new files for the hibernate project?

Do I have to provide a database schema, user type as well?

just the minimal setup to reproduce it.

for reveng related issues that normally includes db schema and possibly reveng.xml

if it is for codegeneration, then annotated java source or mapping files is normally enough.

For the record: I just got bitten by this, too.
Any plans on fixing @Type generation? HBX-849 seems dormant.
