 Post subject: Types are being generated incorrectly

I using Hibernate Tools with Eclipse. For some reason the class it generates have fields defined incorrectly i.e.

private string attributeName;
private big_decimal numberOfSomeKind;

What controls how the types are generated? I need to make sure to define these as String and BigDecimal, but I can't find anything on that topic.
