I'm after configuring OGM to work against remote IMDG.
As I understand, currently,OGM runs as embedded client on the same JVM and is part of cluster node : for example, with infinispan , I should pass it's configuration file and OGM internally runs EmbeddedCacheManager.
What about passing RemoteCaheManager ?

we would love to support RemoteCacheManager, but it initially didn't support neither Transactions nor Queries.
Not having any support for Queries was making it impossible to implement basic functionality..

Remote Queries support was just added in the latest Infinispan release, so this shouldn't be too hard to add, even though we'll still not have transactions.
Would you like to help implementing support for the RemoteCacheManager? It's a great time for new contributors to join, and as far as I know no one is working on this currently.

Such contribution would be highly welcome! IIRC Davide once considered to give this a try, but I'm not sure whether he actually has done so already. The best would be to shoot a mail to hibernate-dev for a quick synch.
