http://blog.hibernate.org/Bloggers/BeanValidationJSR303HitsProposedFinalDraft mentions @Email. Also http://hibernate.org/~emmanuel/validation has a few places concerning @Email. However, in chapter 6 of the spec (1.0.CR1 Proposed Final Draft) there is nothing about @Email.

Will @Email be part of the spec or not? Please clarify. Thank you.

I will ask the EG but the idea is not to have it in as a built-in annotation.
