Hi,

I am new to this forum. I need some help regarding a very unusual error.

I am implementing Bean validation for an application which runs on Websphere 7 and the application is a very old one with very complex dependencies.

I am getting the following error when I am trying to access validator in run time.

java.lang.AbstractMethodError: javax/persistence/spi/PersistenceProvider.isLoadedWithoutReference(Ljava/lang/Object;Ljava/lang/String;)Ljavax/persistence/spi/LoadState;

But if I remove the jar com.ibm.ws.jpa.jar from the WS plugins folder the validator code is running fine.

Can anyone here please give some direction as to how can I solve this problem?

Thanks and regards
Santanu
