Hello!

Is there a way to override the MySQL5 dialect implementation for Guid which is varchar(40)?


Background:

Using:
NHibernate 2.0 GA / Fluent NHibernate

Shouldn't it be better to save the Guid as a binary(16) as it takes up less space and to create a Guid in .Net by using Guid(byte[]) should be less costly than parsing a Guid string...
