I am pretty sure there is nothing wrong with my code. The composite-id is not populated by NH when using in the composite-element collection. Put it in the Caveat Emptor example context, the Id field in CategorizedItem is always null when returned in the parent collection. I am not sure if this behaviour happens on the java side as well.

Can someone please verify it? I would like to report it in JIRA.

Thanks.

For us to be able to verify it, we need to see all the things that the message template here asks you about.
