Linq front end with NHibernate back end? (C# 3.0)

Dear NHibernate,
I am working on Mysql Linq provider.
The project home page is here:

I was wondering if it's possible to connect the Linq front end to NHibernate back end - it would instantly support many databases and gain a fully-tested back end.

Anyone interested in Linq working with NHibernate on this forum? How hard would it be?

This is a certainly interesting proposition.
What is required to make this happen?

I won't be able to do much on the .net side, but i'm very keen on the idea and would like to hear how/if Linq could actually be mapped to nhibernate someway.

The biggest issue I see is if Linq's programming model can work together with an ORM where we are very keen on object state and keeping a persistence context/session.

Maybe Linq is better mapped to something like StatelessSession in Hibernate3 ..not sure, any thoughts and info about linq internals are welcome.
