Hi!

I am brand new in NHibernate. I have started to write a fat client, with NHibernate. My problem is the following:

if I try to add a class to the configuration, the code throws an exception that it is unable to find my hbm.xml file, If I try to add to the configuration my hbm.xml file, it is unable to find my class.

Could anybody help me, what is the solution?
could anybody send me a little fat-client example project?

Best regards,
Zoltan

I tried to load the assambly, but it also didn't work, It was unable to find the assembly.
Unfortunetly, my code is not here, but I will try to reproduce here.
One question, before I send it....
If I create a web project, some nhibernate settings are included in the App.config file. I think I also have to load these values at my fat client application.
How can I include these values at fat client?

Best regards regards,
Zoltan

I suggest you browse through the online reference docs (http://www.hibernate.org/hib_docs/nhibernate/html/) before you start programming; it will help you understand how nhibernate works.

Hi!

here is my project:
http://people.inf.elte.hu/baki/Magan/Third.zip
It is root and ugly, but for first try, It is enough.

The mapping codes are in the Form's constructor.

All the documentations written to NHibernate starts with let's create a web project....But now I am not interested in web project, and unfortunetly I cannot create and test one. :(
I would learn the NHibernate much faster if I had a working project.

Could somebody correct my code? It would be enough If the code would be able to read the mapping file.
In return for it, I promise I will write a full documentation for Thick clinets.

It would be great if we (newbies) can see a running example. Do you have any documentation re. configuration etc. for a Visual Basic Windows Forms Application? Can we have it?

Hi!

I can send you my first working example code. It is not the prettiest code, but it works properly, and not so bad for the start....
