 Post subject: Problem with updation while using SQL funtion for column

I am having following update sql stmt , in which I am trying to set DATEPWDCHANGED column, using TO_DATE , TO_Char, SYSDATE SQL function

update table tname set DATEPWDCHANGED=TO_DATE(TO_CHAR(SYSDATE,'MM/DD/YYYY HH:MI:SS PM'),'MM/DD/YYYY HH:MI:SS PM')

Can any one provide me any hint for performing above update using Hibernate.
