Does anyone know when generics might be supported natively? Are Hibernate developers actively working on it?

yes they are. There already is a 2.0 solution with the beginnings of a generic list. I think the bag is also almost finished.

Thanks. I downloaded it from CVS, built it, I see the test cases, and I'm getting ready to try it. Can you tell me if support for generics is planned for the next release version? I'm wondering when it will officially be supported. I'm anxious to use it, but, I don't want to get ahead of myself and get myself into trouble using features that aren't stable enough yet.

Any word on when generics and nullables will be officially supported? It would be nice if there was a more detailed road map...

afaik there the team never gives a deadline, because it will be ready when it's ready. ;-)
However, I can see them checking in stuff related to generics all the time and sergey has said that generics are now the focus for the next release..

so don't worry and just wait.. Or contribute ;-)
