Hello Everyone,

I get the Exception:
"The dialect was not set. Set the property hibernate.dialect."

But in the App.Config file, i have set that as:
<add key="hibernate.dialect"
value="NHibernate.Dialect.PostgreSQLDialect" />

I have referred NHibernate.dll and also Npgsql.dll.

Even i checked like this:
string d = NHibernate.Cfg.Environment.Properties[NHibernate.Cfg.Environment.Dialect].ToString();

But it returns null.

Plz Help.

Thanks in Advance,
Dhivya N.

I got it working.

Gave like this:

config.SetProperty("hibernate.connection.provider", "NHibernate.Connection.DriverConnectionProvider");
config.SetProperty("hibernate.dialect", "NHibernate.Dialect.PostgreSQLDialect");
config.SetProperty("hibernate.connection.driver_class", "NHibernate.Driver.NpgsqlDriver");
config.SetProperty("hibernate.connection.connection_string", "SERVER=localhost;DATABASE=postgres;UID=postgres;PWD=urpass;PORT=5432;Encoding=UNICODE");
config.AddAssembly("myassembly");

Thanks,
Dhivya.
