 Post subject: Save\Update timeout
PostPosted: Wed Jul 20, 2005 7:23 am
Hello
I am currious if there is some way to set query timeout for Save\Update operations. I know it is possible to set timeout for IQuery and ICriteria. I was thinking that there must by some configuration key or something like that but found nothing....

Thanx for our help
Liwoj

The simplest way that comes in my mind is suplying the session with your own IDbConnection that you can configure and set query timeout. If i do remember well you have some incovenients if you do this but I really don't rember what that was.

Maybe you can look in nhibernate source code and see how the driver class works.

Anyway, my opinion is that the solution is not to increase query timeout but to see what takes that long because the default timeout is reasonable large.

I also think this would be a useful feature. I have created a JIRA issue for it:
