Post subject: Reserved words in Dialect

Just a thought ...

I know you can wrap table / column names with ` ` to set them to be quoted in the generated SQL but with the mix of different reserved words in each dialect it can mean that a mapping file is not as compatible with a different dialect as it could or should be.

Shouldn't the decision to quote a word be up to the particular dialect? This way the reserved words can be catered for on a dialect-by-dialect basis without having to try and guess what the back-end will be when doing the mapping. Freedom to switch the DB is surely one of the big selling points of NHibernate?

I thought the dialect classes could declare an array (or something similar) with all the reserved words for that dialect and when the SQL is being built up any word in the list automatically quoted (when used for a table or column name).
