 Post subject: why can't i begin a transaction

i follow the quick start step by step,

but when go to this line:

ITransaction transaction = session.BeginTransaction(); // erro here

It post the following error:

log4net:ERROR DOMConfigurator: ConfigureFromXML called with null 'element' parameter

Begin failed with SQL exception

what should i do.
