 Post subject: How do i bring back data from a single table

I have an example where I have a table company, which as single link tables for example country, company_type, etc

The data in the country and company_type is used to populate two dropdown lists on a webform.

my question is can i somehow just bring back that information without the link to company and then all the companines that are assigned. Just seems like extra information i'm returning everytime i make a call. Or am i completely missing the point.
