 Post subject: mapping to sql enum

hi everyone,
I have a column in my database(my-sql) table of type enum.Can anyone please tell me how can i do a hibernate mapping for it so that my query can contain an 'integer' or a 'string' but i always get back the 'string' value of enum.Thnx in advance
