Hi,

Will anyone tell me how must I do to install Hibernate. I was googling and I have
not found anything.

From the Hibernate.org I have downloaded the zips hibernate-distributions-3.3.2.GA,
hibernate-entitymanager-3.4.0.GA, hibernate-annotations-3.4.0.GA, hibernate-validator-3.1.0.GA
and hibernate-search-3.1.1.GA.

But I do not know how to install it and configured with Eclipse and Maven.

Thanking in advance,
Oggie

Well, all you really need to do is add the required jar files to your runtime and design-time classpath and you're go. That's about all there is to it!

Thanks Cameron,

Your ebook is fantastic. Absolutely clear.

I think I have followed all the steps you say in your ebook.
But there is something that I have lost. Hibernate has no
function of apps server so I need one (I think).

I am implementing your first example Examscam using Eclipse-RS1
against JBoss 4.2.2-GA and MySQL 5.0. I am not sure if this is the
rigth way because you do not say anything about using an app server.

So the thing I have lost is how can you run the example?

On the other hand, if I really need a server, I have a problem with the port 8080.
The console of Eclipse tell me ta it is in use. But I think I can solve this issue.

Best Regards,
Oggie

Now I have the schema examscam and the table user.

It is really amazing. I go on with with your ebook.

Awesome!

I lurk in the JavaRanch forums as well. You can usually send me an email through my account there if you're really stuck.

Kindest regards!
