Hi,

I want to use @IdClass to define associations between classes instead of using the concrete class and it should hopefully work with HQL as the normal mapping (#2)

#1

Code:

@Entity
@IdClass(ZonePk.class)
class Zone {
}

@Entity
class Area {
    @ManyToOne
    ZonePk zone;
}

The following use of the concrete class has certain disadvantages (serialisation of proxy, jaxb, etc).
