I spent last 5 days, trying to do a simple dinamic web aplication using tomcat 5.5 in Eclipse IDE. When I do a java project, everything works fine, but when I have to use a dinamic web application in J2EE using tomcat, there's no way to make a simple example in mysql. I'm google for simple examples, but I need the code, I download caveatempto, but it's not a dinamic web j2ee application with tomcat, and a java application with hibernate it works me.

I hope someone have this simple example to let me.

I might even suggest doing something a bit simpler!

Take a look at my signature links for some very simple Hibernate examples. I show how to run them just using the JDK, so using Eclipse would be a cinch.

I think you're getting too much to work at once. Just get a little Hibernate app working, then get a Servlet working, and then get the two to work together. Don't try to boil the ocean!
