Hi,

I have to save one object with more than 1000 fields at once (in the same transaction), but when i try it i get timeout because it takes to long to save it. Is there any way to this operation, save big objects?

Thanks

1000 fields? Is this a batch process or something?

Is the end user filling in a form with 1000 fields? That must be one long html page!

Do you really need all 1000 fields? Isn't the solution to trim that a little bit?

If it's a web timeout, then it's not really a Hibernate problem. The only way to solve it is to speed up your system, or redesign the app so you're not saving 1000 fields each time.

Do you really mean 1000 fields, or is it 1000 child objects?

It is an object where one of his fields is a set<String>, and this set will have 1000 values. And i can not change the mapping now, ("they" don't let me)

Do you know if there is any way to do this? Using a batch process or something like that?
