 Post subject: Hibernate Performance Tuning

I am currently using Struts + Spring + Hibernate stack in my project.

For connection Pooling, using hibernate provided c3p0 mechanism.

During Perfomance analysis, i observed that lets say my query (FIND) returns 6148 records.

then c3p0 creates 6148 preparedStatement & query executions are also done for 6148 times.

is this mechanism controllable OR it is expected scenario ???

Please bail me out....
