Hi,
I want to know if Hibernate has a feature which dynamically detects any change made to the tables of a database and cascades it back to the mapped in-memory object.

Thanks in advance for any replies

Gavin

if the change is made by your own program, under the same session, you can detect the changes. For java, you can refer to http://www.java2s.com/Code/Java/Hiberna ... stener.htm

However if the change is made by another application, say, you run the update in the mysql query broswer, eventListener will fail to detect that.
Not sure if i should start a new thread, i want to detect DB update by another application, is that possible? Any ideas? Thanks.
