I use Hibernate 3 for CRUD operation,
Mysql DB connections are pooled through C3po
(and the DS is defined in the JNDI)
For large insert sequence, I prefer to go with direct jdbc,
so far i use :
Code:
InitialContext ctxt = new InitialContext();
            DataSource ds = (DataSource) ctxt.lookup("java:comp/env/jdbc/hibds");
            con = ds.getConnection();

But doing so don't I bypass my connextion pool ? if yes, how do I retrieve a DS in the same pool as hibernate ?
thx in advance.
