I have Eclipse Ganymede 3.4.1 straight JEE download from eclipse.org, I also downloaded the Hibernate tools 3.2.4 Beta from the downloads page, I placed these tools under dropins folder and when i start I can define a console setting for eclipse, I can run HQL queries in eclipse, but I can't see the structured query editor. I have already spent a while searching online, I checked the eclipse log file nothing seems to indicate the tools have a problem. I also tried the 3.2.3 GA from the stable update site and it just would not work at all, it was giving me SWT errors about some resource not found.

Anyone have any ideas how I can try and troubleshoot this.

maybe you can try installing the full JBossTools package?
