Hi,

@Entity
public class Flight implements Serializable {}

or

@Entity
public class Flight {}

all acceptable in Hibernate, any reason we have to implement Serializable interface? Thanks,

A.C.

Hibernate doesn't care about Serializable or not.

But many applications are webapplications, and in a clustered environment, you need your application to be serializable. Same is true if you want your sessions to survive a restart.
