We don't need to manually insert any collections while reverse engineering. We just need to specify for which all tables we need to generate the HBM. The corresponding HBM will contain the collections as per the relationship between the tables.

I have tried doing the same in Netbeans and got the HBM as well as the POJO classes.

Please rate if found helpful.

Thanx crmuser for replying but actually i mean, i want a Set type field in my pojo class and a set mapping in hbm file from the db table through reverse engineering.

suppose 2 classes are there Parent and Child with extra field in Parent class i.e Set child (to store multiple instances) as we cant define such type of column in the db table so this Set child will not get include in hbm file as well as in POJO class through reverse engineering...hope i could clear the scene....

thanx in advance for your reply..
