Solved replacing ocurrences of "localhost:3306" in conf files to "127.0.0.1:3306"

UNBELIEVABLE!!!!!

I had this same problem start on March 9th and this fix worked for me as well. Has anyone determined the root cause of this? Seems like too much of a coincidence that we both had the problem start on or around the same day.
