I have an entity object which have an id with increment generator. in some cases i want to override this generator if the id is being passed. Is it possible to achieve this ? and which generator class should i use ?

Looking through the list of available generators I don't see anything that looks like it would support this. It's probably something you'll have to do at the application level. Or maybe think about implementing a custom IdentifierGenerator
