I posted a new dialect class for the Solid database (www.solidtech.com) on Hibernate JIRA (Issue HHH-1864) about six weeks ago and have not yet seen any response.

Will anyone be looking at it or have I put in in the wrong place?

I too interested in using Solid database with Hibernate. Any official review for the posted dialect happened or not ? What's current status ?

dpr : Do you have any new version of the dialect or Is this the latest one ??

Do I use it for my application, if required ??

Pandya !

This is still the latest version of the dialect, which I posted almost 6 months ago. The dialect is being used in a production system. There has still been no official response from anyone on the Hibernate team, despite several mails being sent. I'll be diplomatic and just say I find this disappointing...

Can't be helped. They know what's right, and nobody can tell them different.

That's why we have a credits system in place that punishes those who know the least about Hibernate.

I'm on my third account because I keep running out of credits.

Hi,
I looked for the dialect on the Solid web site and I couldn't find it. Could you please tell me where I can get it?

Which version of Solid does the dialect work with?

Thanks

It doest punishes those who know the least about Hibernate. It punishes those who seek help but dont try to help back

Really...

Is that why you have only 4 credits after 110 posts?

I had over 70 posts on my first account, most offering helpful advice, but I had to abandon it when I ran out of credits and had to find a solution to a problem.

It turns out that few people actually rate a post, so you're lucky to get 1 credit for every 10 helpful posts you make.

In your case, if you encounter 5 problems before you've posted another 10 helpful posts, you're screwed.

What we're seeing now is hibernate team members with 100s of credits (because they know the most, and don't need help), a smattering of people with 30 or more (because they know a lot and can post a lot of help), and then the majority with 10 or less.

In actual fact, this policy has done nothing to stop freeloaders. All someone has to do is make a new account. They don't care about the old one because they could care less about building a reputation.

For those that DO care, it's especially frustrating to see your credits drain away as you encounter a series of problems in your project, and suddenly be faced with abandoning your username just so that you can get your project working.

Where can I find this Solid DB dialect? Need to use it in a "will eventually be" production system. I need it for Solid DB version 6.0.

Is there a reason this is not in the distribution after all these years?

Thanks in advance.
