org.apache.jasper.JasperException: Unable to convert string "02/12/2005" to class "java.util.Date" for attribute "birth_date": Property Editor not registered with the PropertyEditorManager


What is this 'Property Editor' and 'PropertyEditorManager' ?
What is the reason for this problem?

This has nothing to do with Hibernate.

Please look into the Java API to understand the PropertyEditorManager:
