As already posted in this issue, that is not the right jira. That JIRA is about JBoss-Hibernate integration. In Hibernate's JIRA there is a closed ticket about this problem: http://opensource.atlassian.com/projects/hibernate/browse/HB-31

I think, what you could do, is start a discussion in this forum and eventually (if you find many people agreeing) file a new issue to hibernate's JIRA.
