Dear all
In the Java Persistence with Hibernate page 462.
It says that Hibernate can still perform automatic versioning , but only for objects that are retrieved and modified in the same persistent context.
In page 463 , it says that the strategy doesn't work if you're using detached objects.
But I can't understand why this strategy only work in the same persistent context , and can't work if I use detached objects.
Can somebody explain it to me?
Thanks!
