1. I want to set an ID in hibernate for below mentioned:

2,4,,6,8,10,........
1,3,5,7,9,...........

2. if i want to set the id starts from 101 means what can i do ?

Please help me!!!!

by using the below u can easily achieve the different id sequences.

<id name="id" type="long" column="cat_id">
<generator class="hilo">
<param name="table">hi_value</param>
<param name="column">next_value</param>
<param name="max_lo">100</param>
</generator>
</id>

And this.
<id name="id" type="long" column="cat_id">
<generator class="seqhilo">
<param name="sequence">hi_value</param>
<param name="max_lo">100</param>
</generator>
</id>
