I'm implementing a custom Cache and CacheProvider for use in second-level caching. One thing that's not clear is how getTimeout() used. I see that most or all provided implementations return a hard-coded value of 600. Where does this come from, and what should I consider when I choose a value for my implementation?

Thanks.
