 Post subject: Auto-init of associations and sets for an object?

I don't want to use lazy="false" on associations and sets as that would make loading the data for data tables take more time, but once I have selected a row in the data table I would like to fetch just that object from the database again and initialise everything. Is there an automatic procedure for this?
