Hibernate version:

3.2.6

Code between sessionFactory.openSession() and session.close():

String hql = "delete from table where id in (:ids)"
session.createQuery(hql).update();
...

vs.
session.delete(Object)

Name and version of the database you are using:

mysql

Hi, my app uses ehcache and a lot of bulk hql operations instead of
session.delete(Object). Unfortunately this causes Cache.removeAll() to be called since this is a bulk operation which in turn causes a huge amount of ehcache thrashing. Is there a better way to handle this rather than using session.delete() with a batch_size?

thanks for any help.
