Hi, i'm having problem with generated ids

I use SQL Server + Hibernate and the mapping looks like this:

Code:

<id name="id" type="java.lang.Long" column="id">
    <generator class="native" />
</id>

The colum in the table is defined as int but when i save a new object the id inserted in database is negative. Of course, when i try to load the object throw a Long type, session doesn't found anything.

Anyone has idea about this?
