Inserting new entries into a MS SQL table using hibernate layer are failing if there is a trigger on insert on the table and if the trigger has "EXEC <stored procedure> statement in it.

Its inserting successfully if the EXEC statement is commented out or replaced with inline logic in the trigger. Also if inserted the same values manually, the inserts work. Inserts are failing only when they are inserted using entitymanager

Example:

The following is a statement from the trigger causing failure of inserts, if replaced with inline logic, inserts work well.

IF @locationid > 0 EXEC check_location @locationid

Did anyone encounter this problem before? is there any other workaround other than replacing the stored procedures in the triggers?
